		--------------------------------

Campaign Status (ef_s.exe)
--------------------------

This program parses the CAMPAIGN.CG file and give info on the current
campaign's status. It provides info on the installations (airbases, docks,
bridges, etc), on the mobiles (aircraft, ships, etc) and a map of who controls
what. It's like Ka On Lee's efstatus but with installation info and a menuing
system. At the end of this file is a list of what some of the more obscure
mobile names mean.

Without parameters ef_s will open CAMPAIGN.CG, otherwise ef_s will open the
filename given to it on the command line, e.g. ef_s CONFLICT.CG will result in
ef_s opening CONFLICT.CG and parsing it.

Two examples of the info provided by ef_s:

Mission Statistics (ef_m.exe)
-----------------------------

This program parses the MISSION.CFG file (or any ADDONn.CFG files). It
provides a break down of the missions that will be flown in the next 8 hour
period. The following can be displayed: The number of missions to be
performed by the various sides, the number of mobiles (planes, ground
vehicles and ships) that will perform the missions, the number of NATO
flights and the planes in those flights and their missions/roles and the
number of EF2000s and the number of EF2000 flights and their missions and
their roles.

Without parameters ef_m will open MISSION.CFG. If you wish to run it on
another file, e.g. addon1.cfg, give the filename to ef_m as a parameter,
e.g. ef_m addon1.cfg.

An example of the info given by ef_m is:

Legal Stuff
-----------

You use ef_s and ef_m at your own risk. The author is not responsible for any
damage or misuse.

EF2000 is copyright Digital Image Design Ltd & Ocean Software Ltd.
efstatus is by Ka On Lee (kolee@chat.carleton.ca)
ef_s and ef_m are copyright Robert Stone, 1996

Mobile names
------------

This is a list of some of the names in CAMPAING.CG used in ef_s that need
explanation.

EFA is an EF2000 (EFA was one of the EF2000 previous names).

BEDFORD_1 is an army lorry (truck), the Bedford lorry is used by the British
Army (but in EF2000 is used by every side).

E767 is an AWACS.

J767 is a JSTARS.

R767 is an air-to-air refueler (tanker).

HARRIER_GR6 is in-fact a Harrier GR.7, there is no GR.6 version of the Harrier.
The mark 6 is a training version (T.6), while marks 5 and 7 are ground
attack/recon versions.

LEANDER_CLASS is used in CAMPAIGN.CG to represent the Type 23 Duke class. The
Leander class frigates are no longer in service with the Royal Navy, they date
from the 1960s. The Type 23 Duke class are the Royal Navy's latest frigate
(the EF2000 manual incorrectly calls them destroyers).

Comments
--------

The CAMPAIGN.CG file may at times contain some odd values:

NO_ALLEGIANCE for an installation's allegiance, ef_s ignores these.

DISABLED for a mobile's status, ef_s counts these as dead (a disabled EF2000
ain't much use!).

NO_RESULT for a mobile's status, is a NO_RESULT ok, disabled, dead or in
reserve? ef_s ignores these.

Known bugs
----------

The time and date in the MISSION.CFG file is not correctly updated by EF2000.
So the time and date in ef_m is not correct.
