When you see any (orange) unidentified aircraft approaching your area, retask the nearest fighters to visually identify the intruders by dragging the fighter with your left mouse button to the bogey and releasing.

If you direct the fighter to a known enemy (red) you will be asking it to intercept. Clicking and dragging your aircraft to another aircraft is a context sensitive operation - dragging one allied fighter to an allied strike aircraft will ask the fighter to escort.

Dragging the allied fighter to an allied refueler will grant it permission to refuel only if refueling has been requested by the aircraft you are attempting to move, otherwise it will escort the refueler.

By left clicking on any aircraft icon you will be able to see that aircraft in the 3D window on the left panel.

You will be able to jump into the cockpit of any F-22 that you can see (as long as it is not already in combat) by double clicking on the F-22 icon in the AWACS map. To get back into the AWACS from the F-22 (as long as you are not in combat) press ESC ESC on your keyboard.
